Lesson for Life – and Death

Learning to bite: a mosquito's survival can be deadly for humans

On set at the No Strings Malaria shoot, August 2016

They might look cute in puppet form, but potentially these baby mosquitoes, some of our latest stars as No Strings adds final touches to our new Malaria film, are absolutely deadly.

As they paddle around in an upturned vessel their mother gives them a lesson in where to bite when they’re big. Everywhere they can!!

The Malaria shoot took place in studios in Brooklyn, New York, over July and early August this year, led by the amazing talents of a crew made up of some of the leading names in the puppet world.

After being dubbed into a series of local languages, the film will initially be launched in South Sudan later this year with an aim of stimulating action to sleep under treated nets and seek immediate healthcare for children.

Check out our Hand Washing film, also to launch in South Sudan.

We look forward to sharing more soon!
